Mr. Kenneth Loyd Lawson, age 66, of Kimberly, AL passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, in the UAB Medical Center. Mr. Lawson was born in Jasper, AL on June 30, 1955 to Loyd and Charlene Lawson. He was a 1973 graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School. Kenneth was a home builder in the Birmingham area for over 49 years, and a huge Alabama Football fan.

Mr. Lawson is survived by his son, Eric Lawson (Carman) of Kimberly, granddaughters, Kelsey and Madison Lawson, his mother, Charlene Bowen of Brilliant, sisters, Linda Key (Bill Davis) of Vina, and Susan Bowen Davis (Jimmy) of California, his brothers, Rodney Lawson (Connie) of Eldridge, Dewight Lawson (Belinda) of Nauvoo, Jerome Lawson (Amy) of Double Springs, Jason Lawson (Jennifer) of Kansas, Gralyn Lawson (Renee) of Brookwood, Jarrett Lawson of Hamilton, his step-daughter, Brandy Comans (Jeremy),and step-sons, Josh Tidwell (Candace), and Jeremy Tidwell, step-mother, Emma Lou Lawson of Nauvoo, and his best friend, John Cain of Gardendale and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Elbert Lawson, stepfather, James Bowen, his niece, Danielle Key, and a sister-in-law, Cheyenne Lawson.

Funeral services for Mr. Lawson will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in the Goldmine Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Lawson will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
