Mr. Timothy Lamar Smith better known as Tim, age 58 of Guin, AL passed away on Friday April 22, 2022, in the University of Alabama Birmingham Medical Center. Mr. Smith was born in Winfield, Alabama on February 25, 1964, to Jerry Lamar Smith and Juanice Simmons Robinson. Mr. Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Guin and a 1982 graduate of Marion County High School. He was an avid Alabama Football fan and he spent much of his life working at the 3M Company in Guin, AL.
Tim is survived by his wife Vicki Smith, son, Caleb Smith, daughters, Brittany Harris (Casey), and Emily Payne (Jamey), parents, Juanice Simmons Robinson and Jerry Lamar Smith, sister, Tammie Silas (Randy), grandchildren, Madelyn Grace Harris, Millie Beth Harris, Lydia Brooke Skinner, and William Clayton Skinner, nephews, Casey Fox (Hanna) and Cody Fox (Savannah) and a host of other family, and friends.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his stepfather, Hardy Robinson, and his grandparents, James and Mary Simmons, and Lester and Flora Smith.
Funeral services for Tim will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Guin with burial to follow in the Guin City Cemetery. The visitation for Mr. Smith will be held on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. service time at the church. Scott Stokes will be the officiating minister. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Smith family.
