Mr. Tommy Hosch age 68, of Brilliant passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Hosch was born on November 13, 1953, to John and Virginia Hosch in Marion County, AL. Mr. Hosch attended Winfield City High School and was employed with Marion County Rock for over 20 years.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pam Box Hosch, brothers, Bobby Hosch (Shirley), Danny Hosch (Juanna), and Phillip Hosch (Helen), sisters, Katy McDow (Mike), and Judy Hosch, in-laws, Vicky Hosch, Evelyn Hosch, Larry Box (Charlotte), Scott Box (Linda), and Lyndon Box (Lesleigh), and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hosch, and Virginia Abernathy Hosch, and brothers, JH, Willie, David, Ricky, James, and Roger Hosch.

Funeral services for Mr. Hosch will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Griggs Place Cemetery. Bro. Fred Baccus will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lorene Tidwell Lamb, age 95 of Yampertown/Twin, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Mrs. Lamb was born on July 24, 1926 to William David and Ollie Dee Tidwell. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Mrs. Lamb was a basketball player, cheerleader and a graduate of Marion County High School. A long-time employee and retiree of Bituminous Insurance in Moline IL. Mrs. Lamb loved crocheting, knitting, gardening, studying history, watching westerns and reading. Mrs. Lamb read every book in the Winfield Public Library.

Mrs. Lamb is survived by her son, Douglas Lamb of Guin, grandchildren, Tracey Lamb Payne of Skipperville, AL., and Brad Lamb of Winfield, great-grandchildren, Joe, Gabe and Hannah Payne, Frank Scuvuzzo, Breanna, Abigail, Kevin Conrad, and Raegan Young, Savannah Johnson, and Ashton and Hudson Lamb, and great great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jacob,Kellan and Ellie.

Mrs. Lamb was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Marvin Lamb, sons, Ronald Eugene, and Gary Lamb, parents William David Tidwell, and Ollie Dee Franks Tidwell, sisters, Ethel Massey, Hattie Mae Berryhill, and Evelyn Sandlin, brothers, Alvis, Elbert, and James Tidwell, granddaughter, Stephanie Suzanne Young, and a great-great granddaughter, Breanna Nicole Young.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lamb will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Brother Mike Beckon will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mr. James Thomas Franks, better known as Tommy, age 74, of Brilliant passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Franks was born in Brilliant, AL on April 27, 1947 to James and Mary June Franks. Tommy attended the Brilliant United Methodist Church. He was a 1966 graduate of Brilliant High School, he later attended and played football at Florence State University (UNA). Mr. Franks was recently inducted into the Marion County Sports Hall of Fame. Tommy was a big fan of Alabama Football, and he loved to play golf.

Mr. Franks is survived by his wife of 30 years, Debbie Franks, stepson, Richard Thigpen, Jr. (Kathryn), grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, and Anna Grace Thigpen, aunt, Betty Millican Ferguson of Mountain Brook, and cousins, Amy Ferguson Cashio (Richard), Cindy Ferguson Rhoden (Ken), Jan Franks (Gracie), Gregg Franks (Lisa), and Perry Franks (Angie), and many other family members and friends.

Mr. Franks was preceded in death by his parents, James Luther Franks and Mary June Millican Franks, and two cousins, Susan Ferguson, and Ed Franks.

Funeral services for Mr. Franks will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Mr. Franks will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Stokes Turner, age 75 of Millport passed away in the Diversicare Health Care facility in Winfield.

Mrs. Turner was born on February 28, 1946 to Chad and Dorothy Stokes in Lamar County Alabama. She is survived her husband of nearly 58 years, Belton Joe Turner, a daughter, Joanne T. Patrick, son-in-law, Marty Alloway, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents, Chad Stokes and Dorothy Eulene Smith Stokes, a daughter, Donna Jo Turner Alloway and her son, Danny Joe Turner.

A memorial service for Mrs. Stokes will be announced later.
