James Austyn Blake Weeks, better known as Austyn, age 23 of Winfield, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Austyn was born on March 20, 1997 in Amory, MS. He was as 2015 graduate of Winfield City High School and employed with Buccaneer Homes in Hamilton.

Austyn is survived by his mother, Amy Weeks, grandparents, Steve and Janet Weeks, great grandmother, Dimple Aldridge, sister, Victoria Parrish, fiancé, Melody Rush, aunts, Jamie Odell (Jason), Alexandria Driver, great aunts, Peggy Aldridge, Diane Prescott (Wayne), Donna Martin, Sandy Ary (Max), Kathy Garrison (Benny) an great uncle, Tim Weeks (Tina), a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, James R. and Mable Weeks and Leon Aldridge.

Funeral service for Austyn will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Goodwater Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Windford L. York, age 80 of Brilliant passed away, Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his residence. Mr. York was born on November 29, 1939 to Wallace and Ermma Lee York. He was employed with the Drummond Coal for 23 years.

Mr. York is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vertie Bourland York, two sons, Nicky Dwayne York (Donna) of Brilliant and Jeffery Paul York (Debra) of Cullman, five grandchildren, Scott York (Kellie), Zack York (Morgan), Levi York, Brandi Nunnelley (Josh) and Brittany Housch, nine great grandchildren, Kallie, Ethyn, Kaylee, Zander, Braiden, Zeplin, Zara Mae, Hunter and Kate, a sister, Ila May Scott and two brothers, Larry York (Runa) and Glen York. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace York and Ermma Lee Harris York, sisters, Catherine Bishop and Kay York and four brothers, Tony, Allen, Benny and Jerry York.

A graveside service for Mr. York will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Brilliant Memorial Gardens in Brilliant. Brother Greg Webb will be the officiating minister.

Mrs. Paula Kay Vintson Atkinson, age 55 of Brilliant, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020, at her residence. Was born April 11, 1965 to Jack and Ramona Vintson, and was a 1983 graduate of Brilliant High School.

Paula is survived by her biological son, Samuel Jack Vintson, sisters, Pam Hawkins (Larry) of Guin, Tina Darty (Mark) of Brilliant and their son Samuel, nephews, Jassen Tidwell (Ava) of Tuscaloosa, Robert and Jacob Hawkins, niece, Dana Harbin (Randall) of Nauvoo, great nieces, Lauren and Carmen Tidwell, great nephews, Dylan Harbin (Jessica), Garret Harbin and a great great nephew, Jeremiah Harbin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Atkinson, parents, Jack Vintson and Ramona “Sis” Flippo Vintson and a nephew, Nicholas Hawkins.

Mr. Kenneth Earl Aldridge, age 81 of Rock City, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Aldridge was born on May 10, 1939 in Marion County to William Gray Aldridge and Lorene Weeks Aldridge. He was a 1956 graduate of Winfield City High School and owner of K & E Trucking. Kenneth enjoyed deep sea fishing, gardening, and spending Saturday afternoons watching Alabama Football with his wife, Ettie.

Mr. Aldridge is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Ettie Mae Clark Aldridge, children, Lisa Carper (Linn) of Guin, Janet Studdard (Mark) of Winfield and Adam Aldridge (Crystal) of Rock City, grandchildren, Adan, Alex, Beau, Bart (Michelle), Sara (Jonathon), Holly (Ricky) and Eric, great grandchildren, Kolt, Brody, Peyton, Lyla Jane, Jonathan, Nick, Bryson, Carter, Bayle and Ana, brother, Joe Aldridge (Kathy) of Rock City and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lorene Aldridge, sister, BeBe Aldridge Spann and brothers, Thomas, Larry and Jerry Aldridge.

Funeral service for Mr. Aldridge will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
