Mrs. Beverly Kay Raburn, age 84, of Guin passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at her residence. Mrs. Raburn was born on September 6, 1939 in Hubbertville, Alabama to William Ivan and Delilah Aldridge Nichols. She was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Beverly was a 1957 graduate of Winfield City High School and later earned a degree in nursing from Northwest Shoals Community College. She was employed for much of her life as a Registered Nurse with Dr. Sewell’s office and later with Carraway Hospital in Winfield for more than 20 years. In her spare time Beverly enjoyed painting, going to the beach, reading, and spending time with family.

Mrs. Raburn is survived by children, Michael Raburn (Jesse), Dwayne Raburn (Tracy), and Cathy Raburn, grandchildren, Alex Raburn, Gill Chaffin, Tess Raburn, John Raburn, Nathan Bowling, and Madison Bowling, brother-in-law, Lynn Raburn (Brenda), sister-in-law, Marilyn Duncan (David), and a host of other family members and friends.

Mrs. Raburn was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Raburn, daughter, Lisa Raburn Chaffin, her parents, and brother, William “Bill” Nichols.

Funeral services for Mrs. Raburn will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Zion Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
