Mrs. Lugenia Ann Scott Hardin, age 65 of Winfield passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022 surrounded by her family after a lengthy bout with cancer. Lugenia was born on July 8, 1957 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to William and Louise Hood Scott.

She is survived by her children, Aubrey Hyatt and her husband Josh Lynn, Ashley Gann and her husband Jason, Chris Hyatt and his wife Katie, grandchildren, Barrett, Braylee, Brody, Elizabeth, Miles, Quinlan, Samuel, Thorin, Van, and Max, brother, Bill Scott of Haleyville, sister, Jennifer Patti of Florida, and a host of other family members and friends.

Lugenia was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother.

Mrs. Diane Anderson Davis, age 71 of the Hubbertville community passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Mrs. Davis was born September 18, 1950 to Lawrence "Buddy" and Hilda Webster Tucker. She was a member of the Berea Church of Christ and a 1968 graduate of Hubbertville High School. Diane spent her life caring for her family and loved ones, a job which she enjoyed immensely.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Danny Ray Davis of Hubbertville, son, Wade Davis and his fiancé Tonya Culpepper of Meridian, MS, grandchildren, Jordan Clark Davis and Heather Paige Davis, her brother, Larry Anderson (Louise) of Florida and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents.

A private graveside service was held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mrs. Melissa Dawn Sandlin Stovall, age 53 of Winfield passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Melissa was born on July 14, 1969 in Moline, IL to Louis Scott and Peggy Sexton Sandlin. She was a member of the Musgrove Chapel Methodist Church and a 1987 graduate of Winfield City High School.

Melissa was a cosmetologist and beautician for 32 years and co-owner of Sunset Hair Designs in Winfield from September 1996 until her retirement in December 2018.  

Melissa was a loving, caring and generous wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend; she had a heart of pure gold and a smile that would bring joy and love to others.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and the love of her life for 35 years, Alan Stovall, her two children, Hillary Smith and her husband Chad, and Derek Stovall and his fiancée, Victoria Hankins, three grandchildren, Cailyn, Caralee, and Colton Smith, sister, Kim Aldridge and her husband Scott, her mother and father in-law, Roger and Gloria Stovall, sister-in-law, Amy Darty, brother-in-law, Kyle Stovall and his wife Angie, niece, Harper Darty, nephews, Shane Darty and his wife Sydney, Will and Ty Aldridge, and Brant Stovall, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, church family and other special friends.

Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Scotty and Peggy, her brother, Rob, a niece, Katelyn Stovall and grandparents, Robert and Lucille Sexton, Louie Bryce Sandlin and Evelyn Sandlin.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Hospice of Northwest Alabama or the charity of your choice in memory of Melissa.

Mr. Robert Earl Bull, age 84 of Winfield passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 in the Ashville Heath Care Center in Ashville, Alabama. Mr. Bull was born in Winfield, AL on May 5, 1938 to Fred and Novilene Davis Bull. He was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Robert was a 1958 graduate of Winfield City High School and was selected to Alabama All-State football team. He was employed with Continental Conveyor and Equipment Company, Inc. in Winfield for over 40 years as Shop Forman and building 3 Supervisor.   Mr. Bull enjoyed square dancing and watching Alabama Football.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Glenda Tilley Bull, his parents, three sisters, Ida Mae, Polly, Christine and Anna Lee and four brothers, Leland, Leon, Raymond, and Jimmy.

He is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Renfroe (Mike) of Winfield, granddaughter, LaVette Hazelwood of Pell City, grandson, Glendon Renfroe (Dana) of Winfield, great grandchildren, Lunden, Caden, Anna-Brooke, Will, Kylie and Archer, a sister, Rita Haney of Wayside, two brothers, James Bull of Oregon, and Frank Bull of Texas, and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

  

Funeral services for Mr. Bull will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Saturday at the funeral home.
