Mr. Johnny Wilson Bradley, age 79 of Winfield in the Rock City community, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Johnny was born December 17, 1940 in Russellville, AL to Marion Ambrous Bradley and Myrtle Pauline Clemmons Bradley. He was a member of the Rock City Church of God and worked in the coal mines for many years.

Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife, Miriam Bradley, daughter, Carlinda Bradley Ray (Nicky), son, Wilson Lee Bradley (Robin), grandchildren, Nichole Puckett (Daniel), Zack (Jessica) Knight, Shawn Bradley, Alexandria “Boo” Bradley, Samuel Ray, Chloe Ray and a close and special family friend, Jimmy Atkinson, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Box Bradley, his parents, Marion and Myrtle Bradley, sisters, Lucille Nix, Christeen Bates, Retha Mae West, Frances Huckaba and Willie A. Bradley.

Funeral services for Mr. Bradley will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Griggs Place Cemetery. Wendell Kimbrell and Fred Baccus will be the officiating ministers. The visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) from at the funeral home. Ms. Florine Dodd Wilson, age 80 of Winfield formerly of Moline, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Diversicare Health Care Facility in Winfield, AL. Florine was born on January 19, 1940 to Cluster Dodd and Siller Ann Dodd. Ms. Wilson was employed with, Quad-City Die Casting Co., Service Rubber Co., and a driver with MetroLINK, all in the Quad City area of Moline, IL.

Florine is survived by her sons, Dewayne Black (Melissa) of Winfield, AL, and Jamie Barnes (Angie Loebach) of Andalusia, IL, grandchildren, David Black (April Rosenberg) of Moline, IL, Olivia Hines of Fayetteville, NC, Jennifer Black of Guin, AL, Amanda Williams (Kevin) of Hamilton, AL, Jessica Black of Guin, AL, Melissa Suits Littrell and Brandt Cooper both of IL, sister, Earline Brown (John) of Beaverton, AL and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cluster and Siller Ann Dodd, son, David Black, granddaughter, Tara Black and a brother, Sonny Dodd.

The funeral service for Ms. Wilson was held on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 2:45p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Natural Bridge, AL. Sean Marlin Hester, age 43 of Winfield, passed away at his residence in Winfield. Sean was a 1994 graduate of Winfield City High School, and was employed with William Donaldson Correction Facility for several years.

Sean is survived by his father, Joe Hester (Kim) of Sumiton, mother, Linda Henderson of Brilliant, children, Luke Marlin Hester and Madilyn Grace Hester of Winfield, sister, Letitia Duckworth (Adam) of Winfield, brothers, Chris Hester (Elisa) of Eldridge, James Tyler Hester of Sumiton and Noah Hester of Charleston, SC, aunts, Jennifer Kaye Olive (Dennis) of Warrior, Julia Florence (Hugh) of Hayden and uncle, Jack Hester (Deborah) of Richland, MS and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J. M. Hester and Julia Faye Hester.

A graveside service for Sean will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the New Horizon Cemetery in Dora.

 Mrs. Gennell S. Holcomb better known as Nell, age 80 of Winfield, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Sunset Manor Health Care facility in Guin. Nell was a member of Bethel Church of Christ and a 1957 graduate of Brilliant High School. She was employed with Winfield City School system as a bus driver for over 25 years. 

Nell was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Holcomb, her mother, Ora Bell Self and a sister, Doris Smith. She is survived by her children, Allen Holcomb (April) of Birmingham and Anna Mobley of Winfield, grandchildren, Will Holcomb (Allison) of Sugar Hill, GA, Ben Shelton (Holly) of Washington, Jacob McElyea of Athens, AL, Laura Taylor of Gardendale, Summer Taylor of Winfield, great grandchildren, Maybri Anne and Weiss Holcomb, sisters, Danylu Burnett of Heflin and Ava Belle Rich (E. B.) of Gardendale and a sister in law, Sybil Beasley of Gatesville, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
