Mrs. Mary Alice Dodson Bowen, age 82, of Fayette, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 surrounded by her family. Mary began her health care career working as a paramedic with the hospital in Fayette. After many years there, she began her employment at the office of Dr. Paul Ashley and worked with him for the length of his career. After Dr. Ashley’s passing, Mary worked with Dr. Breitling until both their retirements.   Mary is a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church in Fayette. She is survived by her husband, of almost 65 years Mr. Edward “Ed” Dale Bowen, son, Jerry Edward Bowen (Cathy) of Winfield, four grandchildren, Jonathon “Jon” Brandon Bowen, Alicia Bowen Lowery (Kyle), Jeremy Bradley “Brad” Bowen (Ginger), Justin Edward Bowen (Lindsey), ten great grandchildren, Tucker, Sawyer, Banks, Brooks, Brylee, Anna, Ashley, Alaina, Brooke and Syra, a sister, Jean Hall Oglesby (Roger) of Northport, and daughter- in- law, Kim Bowen McCollum (Dennis) of Hubbertville. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank & Alice Dodson and Jim & Minnie Johnston, parents Otis and Villa Dodson, son, Tommy Dale Bowen, brother, James Dewey Dodson, an infant brother, and a daughter- in- law, Doris Bowen. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Sand Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Brother Reagan Rye will be the officiating minister. Mr. William Odell "Pops" Arnold, Jr., age 51, of Winfield, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018. He was an avid farmer, and employed by C & L Farms in Fayette. William was   Vice President of the Rebel Saddle Club. He had a special love for horses, roping, drag racing and spending time with his children, family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Merita Harbin Arnold, parents, William Odell Arnold, Sr. and Bonnie Ray Burleson Colburn (James), children, Garrett Arnold (Lacie), Dakota Lane Arnold, RyLei Faith Arnold, Paige Arnold, special niece, Kearsten Pederson, grandchildren, Cooper Scott Vickery, Keylee Skye Bridgeman, Tyler and Rylee Boshell, brothers, Scott Colburn (Lisa), Jamie Colburn, Terry Lovett (Melinda), sister, Shelia Jones (Doyce Bery), special fur “babies”, Ella & Madelyn Grace, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He is preceded by his step-mother, Faye Arnold, grandparents, Orbie & Velma Burleson, Johnie & Vernice Colburn, Tony Nash & Verna “Maw” Arnold and a number of aunts, uncles and other relatives. Funeral services for William will be held on Friday May 11, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. Mrs. Judy Mitchell Tesney, age 74 of Guin, in the Twin Community, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at her residence.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Clayton Mitchell and Candis Elizabeth McGinnis Mitchell, three brothers, Bruce Mitchell Jr., Jeff Davis Mitchell, and Hoyt Mitchell, and two sisters, JoAnn Vaughn, and Mae Nell Stephens.  Mrs. Tesney is survived by her husband, Bill Tesney of Twin, sons, Jeff Tesney of Twin, and Greg (Lisa) Tesney of Twin, her grandchildren, Tanner and Trey Tesney, a sister, Amerlis Hool of Auburn, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Center Cemetery. Bro. Bryan Spiller will officiate. Mrs. Alice Laraine Eddy Foss, age 70 of Winfield, formerly of Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Foss and her husband Arlen were self employed dairy farmers in Wisconsin before their retirement in Winfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dowel Eddy and Donnie Hudson Eddie, a sister, Janice Eddy, brothers, Berlin, Erskine, Dale, Ellie Hugh, Eugene, Junior and Carl Raymond Eddy, and a grandson Travis Gudgeon. Mrs. Foss is survived by her husband, Arlen Foss Sr., a daughter, Sherry (Carl) Gudgeon of Viroqua, WS, two sons, Arlen Foss Jr. of Rockford, IL, and Arvin (Jodi) Foss of Winfield, her grandchildren, Brandon Gudgeon, Jenna Gudgeon, Tasha Foss, Kara Foss, Zachary Foss, Isaac Foss, Alyssa Foss, Kaylee Foss, and Noah Foss, 7 great grandchildren and another on the way, a sister, Irene Dees (Donnie Wright) of Rockford, IL, and a brother, Gerald Ray (Patsy) Eddy of Rockford, IL and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8th from the Brilliant Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Goldmine Cemetery. Greg Lowery will officiate.
