Mrs. Cora Lee Linley Tucker Robertson

Mrs. Cora Lee Linley Tucker RobertsonCora was raised near Brilliant, Alabama, one of eleven children of Ben and Zona Linley. She married Eugene Tucker and raised two daughters, Peggy and Carolyn. She helped with and loved four amazing grandchildren, Hope, Patrick, Dawn, and Josh.She has enjoyed three great grandchildren, Sayde, Abby, and Emma. Cora later married Sonny Robertson and helped raise his son Mitch.

During her life she worked in sewing factories, including Munsingwear of Guin. After moving to Tuscaloosa, she became a caregiver to the elderly. Her hobbies included sewing and cooking.

More recently, Cora resided at Morningview Estates of Fayette, Alabama.Here she enjoyed Bingo and the other residents taught her to play Dominos. She particularly liked to get caught by Rhonda, the nurse, doing things that she was not supposed to be doing by herself.

To the nvery end, Cora provided love, care, and support to her family in spite of difficult times and health issues.Cora went to be with her Lord having accepted Jesus as her Savior and having been baptized at Center Methodist Church.

She is survived by; her daughters: Peggy (WC) Reese and Carolyn Wilson of Guin, grandchildren: Hope Smith of Winfield, Patrick (LaWanda) Wilson, Dawn (Todd) Seaton of Huntsville, Joshua C. Reese of Many, LA,great grandchildren: Sayde Smith, Abrielle “Abby” Reese and Emma Rose Wilson, brothers: Clyde Linley and Wayne Linley, sisters: Mamie Hullet and Lola Lowery.

Preceded in death by: her parents, Marion Benjamin and Martha Elzona White Linley; brothers Carl, Mack, and Clovis Linley; sisters, Carrie South, Clezel South, and Cleo Flanagan; son-in-law, Talmage Wilson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday September 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. untill 10:30 a.m. (service time) from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Center Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. C.J. Townsend will officiate. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Robertson family.

Mr. Roger HubbertMr. Roger Hubbert, age 73 of Winfield, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011 at U.A.B. Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 26, from the Winfield Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. (service time) on Monday evening at the Church. Burial will follow on Tuesday in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. James Wyers, Vance Hutton, and Dale Hubbert will officiate. Mr. Hubbert was born in Hubbertville, Alabama, the son of Tommy and Gladys Hubbert. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1957, and attended Freed Hardeman College in Henderson, Tennessee from 1957 until 1959. Mr. Hubbert began working for Continental Conveyor and Equipment in 1961 until his retirement in 2002. He was a faithful Minister of the Gospel for almost 50 years and was currently the minister of Brock Church of Christ at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents , Tommy and Gladys Hubbert, and a brother Jim Hubbert. Survivors include hie wife, Pat Hubbert of Winfield, Children, Dale (Cindy) Hubbert of Priceville, and Rogena (Keith) Dillard of Winfield, grandchildren, Whitney (Chad) Lawrence of Decatur, Katie (Doug) Gullion of Somerville, Wes Hubbert of Decatur, Allyson (Bryan) LeMasters of Madison, Julie Hubbert of Priceville, and Karla Dillard of Winfield, great grandchildren, Lathan, Macy, and Amelia Lawrence, and Sam and Drew Gullion. Keith Dillard, Wes Hubbert, Chad Lawrence, Lathan Lawrence, Bryan LeMasters, Doug Gullion, Sam Gullion, Drew Gullion, Frank Hubbert, and George Hubbert will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Carl SpenceMr. Carl Spence, Age 70 of Winfield, fomerly of Mesquite, TX passed away Saturday morning in the U.A.B. Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral Services will be held on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m in the Bowen Funeral Home chapel. H.B. Nelson and James Pridmore will be the officiating ministers. The visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow on Tuesday in the Center United Mehtodist Church cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Verba Richardson Spence, sister, Glenda Fritz, and mother-in-law Dorothy Nelson. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Nelson Spence, son, Greg (Reba) Spence, Grandson, Brandon Spence, Granddaughter, Courtney Spence, great granddaughters, Kelly and Hope Spence, a brother, Roy (Delois) Spence, sister, Janet Blanton, father-in-law, H.B. Mrs. Gladys Helen HubbertMrs. Gladys Helen Hubbert, age 90 of Winfield, passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, in the  Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mrs. Hubbert was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Hubbert, and a son, Jim Hubbert.  Survivors include her son, Roger (Pat) Hubbert of Winfield, Grandchildren, Dale (Cindy) Hubbert of Priceville, Rogena (Keith) Dillard of Winfield, Teresa (Greg) Colburn of Fayette, Ronnie Hubbert of Pickinsville, Mike (Cindy) Hubbert of Fayette, 12 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel. James Wyers and Dale Hubbert officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, in West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win.
