Mrs. Willie Lee Marshall HollisMrs. Willie Lee Marshall Hollis, age 101, of Twin, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Hollis was born September 25, 1910, daughter of Will and Smithie Dykes Marshall. Mrs. Hollis Lived in the Winfield area her entire life, and was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Hollis, brothers, Glen, JoeMac, Paul, James "Buster" and Johnny Marshall, and a sister Esta Ulmer. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Dale (Jean) Hollis, a daughter, Smithie Jane (James Thomas) Weeks, grandchildren, Wade (Lisa) Weeks, Lance (Amy) Weeks, Beckie (Bruce) Sims, and Angel Wilkerson, great grandchildren, Caleb and Elliot Weeks, Zachery and Katie Wilkerson, sisters, Mattie Lou Coker, and Betty Moore, and brothers, Tommy and Terry Marshall. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. Bro. Paul Gray and Dr. Charles Ballew will officiate. The visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. service time on Sunday at the funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Zion Missionary Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Hollis.

Mrs. Mintie Belle TuckerMrs. Mintie Belle Tucker, age 84, of the Whites Chapel community, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, in the DCH Regional Health Center in Fayette. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Whites Chapel Church of Christ for 66 years. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 67 years, Shannon Tucker, her parents, Andrew and Ludie Tittle McDonald, Granddaughter, Windy Diane McDonald Tucker, great grandson, Clinton McDonald, son-in-law, Harold McDonald, 5 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Tucker McDonald (Truman) Herren, grandchildren, Keith (Lisa) McDonald, Stanley (Tim) McDonald, Amanda (Kenny) Tranum, great grandchildren, Shannon LaShae (Bobby) Withers, Ginny McDonald, Molley Tucker, Daniel McDonald, Keela Tranum, Peyton McDonald, Tre Tranum, and a sister, Florence Johnston. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, from the Whites Chapel Church of Christ with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. John Brown and James Herren will officiate. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m on Saturday at the church. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield Directng.

Lisa Marie Webster Dawson age 44, of Birmingham passed away on Thursday April 28, 2022 in the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham. Lisa was born in Seattle Washington on November 2, 1977 to Curtis and Glenda Headley Webster. Lisa was a member of the Homewood Church of Christ and a 1996 graduate of Tarrant High School.
Lisa is survived by her parents, Curtis and Glenda Headley Webster, sisters, Leslie Connor (Jon) and Tiffany Webster (Paul), nieces, Autumn Fendley and Bailey Webster, nephew, Colby Webster, and special family members, Aunt Sue, Uncle JB, and cousin, Kerry Maddox.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Regina Webster, and grandparents, Raymond and Ida Headley and Ulyess and Bea Webster.
A graveside service for Lisa will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-win. Steve Castleman will be the officiant.
