Mr. Hugh  Douglas Whitman, age 80 of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 in the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Hugh was born in Virginia on March 31, 1940 to James and Oza Whitman. He was a member of the Fulton Bridge Baptist Church in Hamilton and a 1958 graduate of Brilliant High School. Mr. Whitman was a true salesman; he could sell anything to anyone. He worked various sales jobs in his lifetime; the Marion County News, Winfield Office Supplies, Royal Furniture and Heilig Meyers Furniture in Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Betty Jean Clark Whitman, his parents, James Martin Whitman, Sr. and Oza Underwood Whitman, his siblings, Sarah Frances Whitman, Mertie Fay Whitman, James Martin Whitman, Jr, Theresa Raye Whitman and Joyce Jean Whitman. Mr. Whitman is survived by his brother in law, Donny Clark (Linda) of Hamilton, niece, Roxanne Whitman of IL, nephews, James Wayne Whitman (Vickie) of IL, Michael Whitman of IL, Adam Don Clark (Sarah) of Augusta, GA, Brandon Allen Clark (Alisha) of Pelham, Cody Michael Clark (Ali) of Hamilton, great nieces, Teagan, Finleigh, Sierra and a great nephew, Dawson, and a host of other relatives, church family and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Whitman will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Fulton Bridge Cemetery in Hamilton. Janice Renee Williamson Nichols, age 54 of Winfield formerly of Coker, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at her residence. Janice was a member of the Cooper Freewill Baptist Church and a1984 graduate of Sulligent High School. She worked numerous jobs before attending Brewer Community College and earning her LPN degree. Janice worked at an LPN for 20 years. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, sewing, cooking, fishing and camping; but most of all she loved spending time with her son Caleb and her family and friends.

Janice is survived by her son, Caleb Wilson, her parents, Jesse L. Williamson and Mary Helen Woodruff Williamson, brothers, Chris Williamson (Kara) and Ricky Williamson, niece, Wren Williamson, and her nephews, Blake, Nathan and Kaden Williamson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mavyleen and Shorty Woodruff, Ed and Juanita Williamson and many other relatives.

Mr. Marion Allen Rasbury, better known as M. A., age 87, of Warrior formerly of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Mr. Rasbury was employed as a pipe fitter with Southern Natural Gas for over 30 years.

Mr. Rasbury is survived by his wife of 66 years, Francis Rasbury, son, Michael Cullen Rasbury (Robin), grandchildren, Matthew Allen Rasbury, Kelsey Powell and Cole Rasbury, brothers, Theo Rasbury (Charlotte) and Gary Odell Rasbury (Jimmie), a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cullen Rasbury and Cora Addison Rasbury, sisters, Geneva, Tommie Rea, Mildred, Mary Nell, and his brothers, Gennafer “Gen”, Bud, James, Raiford, Archie, Issac and Lee Rasbury.

Funeral service for Mr. Rasbury will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Brilliant Memorial Gardens. Mr. Daryl Redman, age 72 of Twin, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at his residence.  Mr. Redman was born on April 2, 1948 in Geneva, New York and was own / operator of Daryl Redman Trucking company for many years.  Mr. Redman is survived by his wife of 46 years, JoRett Betts Redman, father, Fred Davie, daughters, Lynn Redman Winters (Jonathan), Cherie Redman and Michelle Day (Tim), grandchildren, Connor Ray Winters and Molly Winters, Jacob Cornish, Steven Callahan, Nikita Vice, John Curtis Callahan and Ashley Miles. brother, Mike Bloss (Merry), sister, Darlene Snyder, and a brother in law, Bill Betts (Shirley) and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Redman, mother Loretta Redman Davie, brother, Byron Davie and brothers in law, Rick Betts and Jim Snyder.  A private graveside service for Mr. Redman was held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. from the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery.  Bowen Funeral Home serving the Redman family.
