Mrs. Margaret Ann Shirey Gill, age 58, of Guin, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019, in the Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. Mrs. Gill was born on October 29, 1961 to Wyman Wally Shirey and Bestie Linley Shirey.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Leland Gill of Guin, her mother, Bestie Linley Shirey of Winfield, daughter, Crystal Marie Clardy of Brilliant, granddaughter, Maghan Renee Ray of Westpoint, MS, brothers, Wyman Shirley “Wally”, Jr. (Kimberly) of Bear Creek, Henry Shirey (Angel) of Winfield, and Paul Shirey (Tracy) of Winfield, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Wyman Wally Shirey, Sr.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gill will held on Friday, November, 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Center Methodist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Wendell Kimbrell and Chris Linley will officiate the service. Mrs. Donna Haney Bryan, age 70 of Pensacola, FL, formerly of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, October 26th in Pensacola.  Donna is a 1967 graduate of Winfield City High School.  A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8th at Roselawn Funeral Home in Pensacola. The visitation will be from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. (service time) on Friday at Roselawn in Pensacola. 

Mrs. Mary Francis Porter, age 81, of Vernon, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her children, Charlotte Kelver (Richie) of WI, Gail Freeman (Ronnie) of Vernon, David Porter (Sandy) of TN, Tommy L.C. Porter (Sharon) of Winfield, Jimmy Dean Porter of WI, Eddie Gene Porter of MO, and James Porter of WI, a sister, Exie Henderson of Winfield, 16 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. Wates and Mary D. Sanders Wates, two granddaughters, Amanda Porter and Alisha Salinas, two sisters, May and Ray Wates, and five brothers, Bill, Hershel, Marshall. Glen and Earl Wates.
Funeral services for Mrs. Porter will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Dr. Larry Wates will serve as officiating minister. The visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Alice Ann Stovall, age 72, of Winfield, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.

Mrs. Stovall is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leburn Don Stovall, her two sons, Donny Stovall (Angie) and Scott Stovall, three grandchildren, Hagen (Meg), Payton, and Keylee Stovall. Alice Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Christal Earlene Sticklin, a sister, Willie Mae Hinton and a brother, Billy Ray Harris.

Funeral serviced for Mrs. Stovall will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial in New Hope Cemetery.
