Donna Taylor Lee, age 65, of Winfield passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Taylor was born on April 16, 1954 to John Burton and Kittie Moore Taylor in Sulligent, AL.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Melanie Basson (Randy) of Columbus, MS, granddaughter, Savannah Lawson, sisters, Brenda Bozeman and Janice Atkinson (Steve) both of Winfield, brothers, Mike Taylor (Marianne) of Beaverton, and Kenneth Taylor (Earline) of Winfield, her special caregivers, Ted and Doris Lee of Woodville, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. B. and Kittie Taylor, sisters, Wanda Taylor Wood and Linda Taylor, a brother, Johnny Taylor and her grandmother, Lula Moody.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lee will be held on Sunday October 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Beaverton City Cemetery. Bro. Mark Dean will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Linda Sue McDuff Herren, age 71, of Cottondale formerly of Brilliant, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Hospice of West AL in Tuscaloosa.

Mrs. Herren was born on May 23, 1948 to Kelsey and Rosie Flanagan McDuff. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Sidney Herren, Jr, and a sister, Janette McDuff. Mrs. Herren is survived by her children, Rachel Brown (Mark) and John Sidney Herren III (Barbara), grandchildren, Andy Herren (Tori), Aly and Peyton Brown, sisters, Jewel Sumerel, Alma Gulsby, Jimmie Nell Westbrook, brothers, Kenneth McDuff and Bob McDuff, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Herren will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Center Cemetery. Mark Brown will officiate. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Mrs. Mary Fletcher Howton Hollingsworth, age 84 of the Hubbertville community, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in the UAB Medical Center in Birmingham. Mrs. Hollingsworth was a graduate of Berry High School and was a majorette.

Mary is survived by her husband, James Herbert Hollingsworth of Hubbertville, children, Larry Wayne Benton (Teresa), Pamela Jo Benton John Benton, all of Winfield and Julia Colberly of Huntsville, grandchildren, Jeremy Wayne Benton (Holly), Julie Rena Nelson (Chris), Carissa Lynn Webb (Joe), Gunnar Benton and Cassie Colberly, great grandchildren, Carson Benton, Preston, Parker and Ember Nelson, MaddieJo and Fletcher Webb and Paetyn Spencer Benton, sisters, Janet Rolfe (Stan) of Ripley, MS, brothers, Phil Howton of Tuscaloosa, James Howton (Mary) of Berry and Daniel Howton (Jimmie Lou) of Berry and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher Thomas Howton and Margie Hindman Howton, a son, Keith Edwards Benton, grandson, Spencer Benton, sister, Nellie Davis and brothers, Mogene, Thomas, Bobby and Joe Max Howton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hollingsworth will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the New River Church of Christ cemetery near Hubbertville. The visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home.

Mr. Scottie Lee Cagle, age 42, of Brilliant, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019. Scottie was a 1995 graduate of Brilliant High School, he worked for Murray Energy Corp. at Oak Grove Mines and at Berry Mines for 16 years before its closure. He was a part of the National Championship Benchman Mine and Rescue team.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Melinda Dodd Cagle, children, Brantley Cagle and Gunner Cagle, parents, Roger and Linda Cagle of Haleyville, mother and father in law, Dianne Willoughby (Gary) of Winfield and Steve Dodd of Brilliant, sister, Mandy Townsend (Shawn) of Haleyville and a brother in law, Derek Dodd of Murfreesboro, TN.
