Mrs. Ora Mae Linley AdkinsonMrs. Ora Mae Linley Adkinson, age 67 of Brilliant, passed away on Friday July 15, 2011 at her son's residence in Brilliant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Pearlie Barnett, husband, Thomas Junior Linley, a son, Brandon Heath Barnett, and a brother Raymond Barnett. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Webb,  & Cynthia (Tiffany) Linley, a son, Michael "Duck" (Candie) Linley, grandsons, Austin & Dallas Webb and Drake Linley, sisters, Christine Jackson, Earnestine Britnell, Pauline Dodd, Sylvia Williford, Nora Corkren, Jackie McInnish, Brenda Ward, and Ann Dykes, Brothers, Bill and Ray Barnett, and a host of nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday July 17, 2011 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to Follow in Brilliant Memorial Gardens. Jeremy Hulsey and Harold McInnish officiating. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield directing.

Mrs. Frances Inez Hall HerrenMrs. Frances Inez Hall Herren, age 84 of the Hubbertville community, passed away on June 17, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Herren was born on Oct. 5, 1926, the daughter of Jessie Curt and Artie Rose Hollingsworth McDonald. She retired from Reltoc manufacturing after 31 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Hall Berryhill, son, Johnny Curt (Judy) Hall, sister, Jessie Eardeal Smith, Grandchildren, Amy Hall Wakefield, Jonathan (Sherry) Hall, Jeremy D. (Cynthia) Berryhill, Steven C. (Tammy) Berryhill, Susanne (Mike) Alcaida, and Justin P. Berryhill. Great grandchildren, Cody and Courtney Whitehead, Mahala, Ashtin, Laken, Hunter, and Chase Berryhill, Faith Hall, Lavin Williams, Devin Lane, Jared Alcaida, and Taz Beatley, and a niece Mary Ellen "Sally" (Tony) Dickinson. Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in White's Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mrs. Annie Lou ReedMrs. Annie Lou Reed, age 95 of Winfield, passed away on Thursday July, 14 2011 in the Golden Living Center in Winfield. Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Reed. Survivors include her son, Don (Darlene) Reed of Naperville, IL, grandchildren, Debra Curboy, Donald Wayne Reed, Dustin Reed, all of Illinois, David Reed, Dedra Robideau, Dawn Peura, Danny Reed, & Darcy Reed all of Minnisota, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great Grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 19, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Pastor Eddie Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield directing.

Mr. George Thomas Mr. George Thomas "Tom" Bowen Sr., age 72 of Winfield, passed away on Monday July 11, 2011 at his residence. Tom is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Sue Dickinson Bowen, daughters, Debbie Posey (Eddy) of Winfield, Marie Gray (Walt) of Winfield, & Leanna McWilliams (Harry) of Tuscaloosa, sons, Heath Bowen (JoAnn) of Alabaster, Stoney Hughley (Kim) of Tuscumbia, & Tommy (Rhonda) Bowen of Winfield, sisters, Colleen Bunn, Betty Green, & Martha Silas, brothers, Ed Bowen, Robert Corbett, and Marion Corbett, 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odie & Ada Head Bowen Corbett, and 3 brothers, Johnny, Allen, & Junior Bowen. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers, kind deeds and expressions of sympathy. Daddy was a kind, hardworking man with a servants heart. He is, and will forever be missed on this earth, until that day when we are called to meet him, or that day when our Lord comes for all those who anticipate his return. Funeral Services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday July 14, at Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Goldmine Cemetery in Brilliant. Bro.
