Mrs. Janet Hall Berryhill, age 65 of Hubbertville passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at her residence. Janet was a 1973 Graduate of Hubbertville High School and attended the University of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Perry Hall and Frances Inez McDonald Hall Herron, and her husband, David Berryhill. Janet is survived by her sons, Jeremy (Cynthia) Berryhill and Justin P. Berryhill, a brother, Johnny C. Hall (Judy), her grandchildren, Mahala and Ashton Berryhill, a nephew, Johnathon (Sherry) Hall, a niece, Amy Hall Wakefield, and her close friend and first cousin, Sally Dickinson. Funeral services for Mrs. Berryhill will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday from the Bowen Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in the Berea Church of Christ Cemetery. Mrs. Kathleen Dozier Marcum, age 90 of Glen Allen passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at her residence.
Kathleen was a member of the Berea Church of Christ and a 1948 graduate of Hubbertville High School.
Mrs. Marcum is survived by her sons, Garry Michael Marcum of Glen Allen, and Jon L. Marcum (Susan) of Lindenwood, IL, grandchildren, Melissa Marcum of CO, Christina Polhill (Brett) of IL, Richard Marcum of GA, Bethanie McCullough (Joshua) of IL, Bradley Welding of IL, Paul Marcum of FL and Tommy Marcum (Morgan) of IL, great grandchildren, Katelynn Hurst, Kelcie McCullough, Brooklyn Socha, Jonithan McCullough, Makenzie Peterson, Marley Marcum and Wesley Marcum, a sister, Martha Mann (Larry) of Gardendale, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odus Rayburn Marcum, parents, Johnnie Dozier and Flora Tucker Dozier, sons, Steve Wesley Marcum, Tommy Rayburn Marcum, and Joe Stewart, sisters, Dellaree Hester, Johnny Marie Shelnut and Joan Porter, and her brother, Tim Dozier.
Funeral services for Kathleen will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hubbertville Church of Christ Cemetery. Jeff Rutledge will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Mr. Jerry Lamar Jenkins, age 77 of Winfield passed away on Monday April 5, 2021 at his residence.
Jerry was a member of the Winfield Church of God and a 1961 graduate of Winfield City High School. Mr. Jenkins was employed at Berry Mines with over 34 years of service. He was a Christian and a family man with a generous giving heart. Jerry had a SLY sense of humor and enjoyed a good practical joke. He was a fun loving, outgoing, kindhearted man that loved spending time with his family, church family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Genny Stanford Jenkins, his son, Terence Jenkins (Kris) of Castle Rock, WA and daughters, Marla Jenkins of Huntsville, Niki Jenkins of Winfield, his grandchildren, Alex Jenkins, Micah Jenkins, Eli Jenkins, Anna Kathryn Tyner and Ian Kennedy, a brother, Ronnie Jenkins (Regina) of Winfield, sisters, Patsy Lolley (Kenneth) of Hamilton, Kathy Harris of Winfield, Angie Jones (Fred) of Gu-Win, and a host of nieces, nephews, church family, and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hildred Norris Jenkins.
The funeral service for Mr. Jenkins will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from the Winfield Church of God with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. Brother Deric Rea will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be on Friday, April 9th from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. service time at the church. Alex Jenkins, Eli Jenkins, Ian Kennedy, Mike Jenkins, Ron Jenkins, Nicholas Lolley, Chad Harris, Freddie Jones, Casey Harris, Ethan Watson, Burnice Creech, Packy Butler and David Martin will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. John Luie Humber, age 81 of the Twin community, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at his residence. Luie was a member of the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, a United States Army Veteran and retired from UPS. Luie was a lifelong farmer, a man who could fix anything, and he loved a good drag race. He was a member of the Twin Volunteer Fire Department and was always ready when called. Luie and Frankie Jean were a driving force in the creation of Twin Park, they spent countless hours seeing it created and could usually be found working there. Luie found fulfillment watching families, especially children, playing and enjoying time spent at the park. He always had a heart for helping children. Mr. Humber was an active member of the Shriners, he devoted countless hours transporting children and their families to and from the Shriner’s Hospital. One of his greatest joys was making children happy and see them smile.
Luie was preceded in death by his parents, John Pearson Humber and Audrey Mae Hendrix Humber, a brother, Melvin Humber, mother and father-in-law, Ollie Lee and Lawrence Conner, and a special brother-in-law, Larry Gene “Sam” Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frankie Jean Humber, his daughter, Alicia (Erik) Bratton, his grandchildren, Alexa Bozeman, Molly Mullins, John Owen Bratton and Tate Bloodworth Owen, sisters, Charlene (Ray) Baccus, Lurene Corkren and Ilene Hays, brother-in-law, Charles (Janet) Conner, sisters-in-law, Lynn (Nicky) Whitehead, Ida (Milton) Rhudy and Sheila Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The funeral service for Mr. Humber will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Twin with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (service time) at the church.
