Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Burleson, age 84, of the Twin Community, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 in the Sunset Manor Healthcare Facility in Guin. Mrs. Burleson was born in Fayette County on February 23, 1935 to Charles and Claudie Lynn Smith. She is survived by sons, Steve Ary (Kathy), and Donald Ary (Hilda), her daughters, Libby Edgil (Joe), a sister, Rosa Lee Whitley, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and special friends. Mrs. Burleson was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Smith and Claudie Lynn Smith, her husband, Junior Bill Burleson, daughter, Rose Mary Watkins, grandsons, Billy Dickinson and Jason Sparks, a sister, Charlene Hallmark Fowler, and a brother, Frank Smith. Funeral services for Mrs. Burleson will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Twin. Brother Mike Beckon will be the officiating minister. The visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Anthony Luigi Sutera, age 79, of Beaverton, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 in the Marion Regional Nursing Home in Hamilton. Anthony grew up in Chicago, IL, and served in the United States Air Force from 1958 until 1962. After moving to Alabama, he worked for VMC Trucking in Vernon as a truck driver and mechanic for many years.  

Mr. Sutera was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda J. Sutera, his parents, Phillip Sutera and Margaret Lazara Sutera, a daughter, Sharon Randolph, son, Phillip Stanford and a brother, Salvatore “Sam” Sutera.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Wheat of Beaverton, grandchildren, Sonia Hermance, Tina Martin, Ceaser Noriega, Louis Teel (Misty), Michelle Teel and Dawn Marie Diaz, great grandchildren, Joseph, Gisel, Christopher, Francesca and Nicole Diaz, Astin and Allison Teel, Brianna and Michal Cridell and a sister, Mary Hlodovchech of Chicago, IL, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Sutera will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Beaverton Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Ronell Jiles, age 68, of Meridian, MS, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Jiles will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens with Military honors presented at the graveside. McClaine Alexander Burleson, age 24, of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, in the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. McClaine was born on November 22, 1994 to Vicki Vaughn Burleson and Tim Burleson.

McClaine is survived by his parents, Vicki of Winfield and father, Tim of Townley, AL, sisters, Victoria Conley and Olivia Burleson both of Winfield, niece, Aileyrose Conley, nephews, Liam and Kai Conley, aunt, June Vaughn of Winfield, uncle, Mark and Susan Burleson of Hamilton, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J. J. & Stella Vaughn and Jack & Faye Burleson.

McClaine was a 2014 graduate of Winfield City High School. He was always a huge supporter of all Winfield City School athletics. McClaine loved watching his sisters cheer and all his friends playing for the Pirates; he will always be their biggest fan. McClaine loved spoiling and spending time with his niece and nephews, who in turn, have always will always adore him. After graduation, McClaine moved to Tuscaloosa and became the face and spokesperson for UCP (United Cerebral Palsy). He loves meeting new people, and being close to the Crimson Tide. His exciting new life in Tuscaloosa was something he was very proud of, but he still loved his monthly visits with his family to his forever home of Winfield.

Funeral services for McClaine will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Winfield Church of Christ with burial to follow in the Guin Cemetery. Harrison Moran, Wayne Page and Mark Posey will be the officiation ministers. The visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
