Mr. Robert Clay Jones, Jr. better known as Bob, age 62 of Winfield passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mr. Jones was born on March 20, 1959 to Robert Clay Jones, Sr. and Juanita Snider Jones. He was a member of the Union Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Winfield and attended Bear Creek High School. Bob was employed as a supervisor with Harden Manufacturing in Haleyville for many years. He was an avid hunter, fishermen and enjoyed Auburn football.

Bob is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nelda Lawrence Jones, his sons, Michael Jones (Sherry) of Haleyville, Timmy Jones (Courtney) of Haleyville and Cody Jones (Haley) of Fulton, MS, daughters, Heather Bozeman and Kassie Hamlett (Gary) both of Winfield, his grandchildren, Lauryn Jones, Jacob Jones, Hayven Garrison, Roper Jones, Kayson Jones, Clay Jones, Colin Jones, Jase Jones, Jax Lyle, Maddox Kelley, Jake Bozeman, Celia Grace Hamlett, Tanner Hamlett and Cole Hamlett, his sister, Vanda Sanford of Haleyville and a brother, Doug Jones of Haleyville and a host of nieces, nephews church family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from the Union Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Winfield with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.

Mr. William Kenneth Gilmer, age 88 of Winfield passed away on Friday February 11, 2022 in the Aspire Physical Recovery Health Care Center in Northport.

Mr. Gilmer was born in Lamar County, Alabama on June 23, 1933 to the late Knowlton and Nina Gilmer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winfield, and a member of the Winfield Masonic Lodge # 304 where held every seat and position within the lodge. He was a 1953 graduate of Lamar County High School. Kenneth was a United States Army Veteran and served on the Winfield City Cemetery Board. He retired after 35 years of service with ConTel Phone Company as a cable splicer. After his retirement with the phone company, he was employed with the Winfield City Park and Rec Department for many years.

Mr. Gilmer is survived by the love of his life for 62 years, Peggy Johnson Gilmer, his three sons, Larry Gilmer (Beth) of Russellville, Jerry Gilmer (Glenda) of Winfield, Tommy Gilmer (Jamie) of Winfield, grandchildren, Slade Gilmer (fiancé, Jenny) of Florence, Chase Gilmer (Kelsey) of Decatur, Will Gilmer (Caroline) of Ross Bridge, Allie Hankins (Drew) of Northport, Brittany Brown (Steven) of Tuscaloosa, Andrea Miller (Zach) of Foley, Austin Price (Katlyn) of Winfield and Garrett Price of Ft. Worth, TX, great grandchildren, Karsyn, Mayson, Henry, Tilley, Scarlett, and Archie and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives, church family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Knowlton and Nina McDonald Gilmer, and his sister, Marcelene Reese.

Mrs. Lynn Reed Minor, age 73 of Pike Road, Alabama, formerly of Winfield passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, in the Hillview Terrace Health and Rehab Center in Montgomery.

Mrs. Minor was born on September 30, 1948, to Lee Roy and Ezell Reed. Mrs. Minor was a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Minor was a member of the First Baptist Church of Montgomery and served many years as president of the Steppingstone Sunday School Class and director of the MOMS program for 21 years. Lynn was a 1966 graduate of Winfield City High School. She served as President of the Pike Road Civic Club. Lynn worked with the Baptist Foundation of Alabama and Blankenship, Livings, Lamar & Company CPAs.

Mrs. Minor is survived by her husband, Floyd Minor, son, Jason Minor (Lisa) of Shorter, AL, granddaughters, Elly Rose and Amelia Grace Minor, sister, Rita Cox (Gary) of Pensacola, FL, nephew, Nathan Miller of Birmingham, sisters-in-law, Kathy Estes (Johnny) of Winfield and Lesia Hanks of Robertsdale, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Mrs. Minor was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Ezell Byars Reed, grandparents, Walter and Bessie Reed and Franklin and Pauline Byars, and a brother-in-law, Trent Minor.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minor will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Minor will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00p.m. service time at the funeral home. Tom Nix and Gary Cox will be the officiating ministers.

Mr. Larry Roger Roberts, age 70 of Winfield, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at his residence. Larry was born in Russeville, AL on April 16, 1951 to Ernest and Samie Lee Roberts. He was a member of the Landmark Church where he served as a deacon, and a 1969 graduate of Brilliant High School. Larry worked in the mobile home industry, and County Corner Hardware in Guin for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann Seaborn Roberts, his children, Traci Henderson of Birmingham, Teresa Mullins (Michael) of Winfield, and David Roberts (Amy) of Birmingham, his grandchildren, Jordan Williams, Justin Williams, Lily Henderson and Jake Roberts, his siblings, Glen Roberts (Judy) of Haleyville, Choyce Roberts of Birmingham, Brenda Turner (Bill) of Winfield and Marion Norrell (Louis) of Jasper and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Samie Lee McDonald Roberts and a brother, Donald Roberts.

Funeral services for Mr. Roberts will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win. The visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
