Mr. Veston Grady Logan, age 82 of the Hubbertville community formerly of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 in the North Alabama Medical Center in Florence.
Veston was born in Colbert County Alabama on November 11, 1938 to Claude and Beulah Logan. He was a member of White’s Chapel Church of Christ and retired from Ford Motors in Muscle Shoals. He was the owner/operator of L & L Engine and Transmission’s in Sheffield, a sawmill owner, farmer, hard worker, and fun loving man of many talents. Veston never met a stranger and he loved everyone. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and traveling with his wife, Glenda.
Mr. Logan is survived by his wife, Glenda Tucker Logan, his children, Phillip Logan (Teresa), Michael Logan (Judy), Selina Ford (Stephen), stepchildren, Chris Cleveland (Karen), Ryan Cleveland (Julia), Jon Cleveland (Lori), sister, Joyce Rimmer, brothers, Dalton Logan and Jean Logan (Maurice), sister-in-law, Linda Logan, 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, church family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Logan and Beulah Hester Logan, son, Kenny Logan, siblings, Rummel (Amos) Logan, Madeline Clement, Maxine (Robert) Kizziah, Beatrice (Cecil) Vandiber, Helen (Larry) Jefferies, Clifford (Jackie) Brownlow, Nettie Jean (Thurman) Kimbrough, Samuel Dayton “SD” Logan, brother-in-law, Elmer Rimmer, and sister-in-law, Rachel Walker.
Funeral services for Mr. Logan will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the White’s Chapel Church of Christ with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Ben Hayes will be the officiating minister. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Logan family.
 
 

Mr. Elvin Warren Ingle, age 99 of Eldridge, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Ingle was born in Leoma, TN on September 14, 1921 to Robert and Ethel Ingle. He was a Christian, husband, father, grandfather, a business man, a farmer and a World War II United States Army Veteran.

Mr. Ingle was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ingle, his parents, Robert Ingle and Ethel Beasley Ingle, and two grandsons, Grant Tucker and Anthony Ingle. He is survived by his children, Linda Long (Ellis), Dorothy Tucker (Larry), Ronnie Ingle (Debbie), Lonnie Ingle, Steve Ingle (Jamie), daughter-in-law, Jane Ingle, special cousin, Hoyt Ingle, his fur baby Rivers, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

A family graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the Bishop Chapel Cemetery in Leoma, TN. Mrs. Sarah Paulette Fikes age 73 of Eldridge passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Fikes was a member of the Winfield Church of God. She was a 1966 of Winfield City High School and a United States Navy Veteran. She was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman Paul Segars and Sarah Grey Moore Segars, brother, Coleman Paul Segars II. She is survived by her husband, Charles David Fikes of Eldridge, children, Leah Cribb Davis (Chris) of Winfield, Scott Cribb (Angela) of Fayette, Chad Cribb (Kim) of Lexington, South Carolina, Greg Cribb of Shang Hai, China, Courtney Fikes Lawrence (fiancé, John Barker) of Tuscaloosa, and Leigh-Alice Fikes Harkness (Kendal) of Eldridge, a sister, Susan Segars Robertson (Bob) of Winfield, grandchildren, Jordan Cribb, Jacob Davis (finance, Keana Garcia), Jaycee Davis, Everette Cribb (Courtney), Morgan Cribb, Aaron Cribb, Madison Cribb, Lauren Cribb, Lawson Harkness, Sarah Beth Harkness, Jordan Cribb, Skylar Cribb, and Aimalia Cribb, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Fikes will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 25th from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Mr. Talton B. Doss, age 98 of Anniston, formerly of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021.

Mr. Doss was a United States Navy WWII Veteran. He was stationed in Pensacola as a barber during his service with the military. Following his military career, he relocated to Alaska and worked as a barber for many years. He returned to Alabama in his early fifties and married his sweetheart, Lucille Ingle. Mr. Doss loved his family and friends and tending to his cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus J. and Genary Smith Doss, his wife. Lucille Ingle Doss, his brothers, Ralph and Booker Doss, and his sisters, Edith Doss, and Ila Dean Elliott. Talton is survived by his sister, Genese Doss Beasley of Anniston, a sister-in-law, Merle McDonald of Winfield, and host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Doss will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Vance Hutton and James Wyers will be the officiating ministers.
