Mrs. Lurene Hollingsworth Henderson, age 83 of Glen Allen, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mrs. Henderson was born on October 21, 1937 to Ector and Ethel Hollingsworth in Fayette County. She was a member of Whites Chapel Church of Christ and attended Hubbertville High School.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her children, Scott Henderson (Martha), Cheryl Scarbrough (Dan), Paul Henderson (Wendy) and Linda Johnson (Steve), grandchildren, Kelly Beverley (Keith), Aimee Henderson, Shannon Clark (Jeff), McGee Scarbrough (Jennifer), Blake McMillan, Jarot Scarbrough, McCall Henderson, Miles Henderson (Kayla), Sam Horton (Jessica) , Taylor Horton, Steven Johnson, Alex Johnson and Madison Johnson, twelve great grandchildren, and a sister, Glenda Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and other family, church family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Hank Henderson, grandson, Chad Henderson, parents, Ector Hollingsworth and Ethel Kelly Hollingsworth, sisters, Willodean Hubbert and Charlene McClung, and her brothers, Billy and Gene Hollingsworth.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Whites Chapel Church of Christ cemetery. Larry Alexander will officiate.

Mrs. Iris Taylor Weeks, age 84, of Winfield passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Weeks was a member of the Church of Christ and a 1954 graduate of Winfield City High School. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ted Weeks, her sons, Terry Weeks and Phil Weeks (Beth), granddaughters, Savannah Weeks Roberts (Ken), Emily Weeks Manning (Luke), and Elizabeth Weeks, great grandchildren, Ethan, Ezra, Eli and Lydia Manning, her sister, Carol Taylor Hurt, and brothers, Roy Taylor, Eddie Taylor and Dwight Taylor (Ruth). Iris was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Taylor and Kathleen Guyton Taylor, and sisters, Christine Boggus, Betty Cramer and Eva Walker.

A graveside service for Mrs. Weeks will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Old Union Cemetery near Wayside. Jeff Belknap will be the officiating minister. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Weeks family.

Mr. Roger Dale Webster, age 69 of Guin, passed away, Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his residence. Roger was born in Marion County AL to Oather and Louise Webster on January 4, 1951. He was a business owner and entrepreneur.

Roger is survived by his special friend, Doris Jones, son, Bradley Webster, stepchildren, Jennifer Jordan, Dewayne Johnson (Crystal) and Cody Jones, step grandchildren, Hunter, Mackenzie, Anna, Christopher, James Tanner and Jayce and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Brother Harry Saylor will be officiating minister. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Webster family.

Mr. L.C. Pierce, age 78 of Winfield, formerly of Eldridge, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in the Noland Hospital in Birmingham.

Mr. Pierce was a member of the Eldridge Baptist Church and a plumber for the mobile home industry for over 37 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and working in his garden, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Joe Pierce (Margie) of Jasper and Gina Bryant (Bobby) of Winfield, grandchildren, Ashley Pierce (Jonathan Cole) of Jasper, Amanda Hollis (Dustin) of Dora, Michael Pierce (Savannah) of Ft. Hood, TX, and Bethany Bryant of Winfield, great grandchildren, Zealand Buzbee, Jaxson Pierce, Ellie Pierce, Amelia Hollis, Kinzlee Cole, sister, Ellon Dodd of Eldridge and his puppy,” Shaky”. Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Geraldine Pierce, his parents, Harles and Illa Fowler Pierce, and a sister, Helen Concord.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday from the Kelley Cemetery in Eldridge. Brother David Dodd will officiate. Bowen Funeral Home of Winfield serving the Pierce family.
