Mr. Larry Banks Weeks, age 76 of Winfield, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Larry was born on September 18, 1944 in Fayette, AL to Banks and Gerlene Weeks. He was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church, a 1962 Winfield City High School graduate, an avid Auburn fan and a member of Sons of the Confederate Veterans. Larry was a pastor for 21 years, served as a loan officer at State Bank & Trust of Winfield and later retired from Hyster-Yale in Sulligent as a tool-dye maker.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patsy B. Weeks, sons Terry Weeks (Carla) and Dale Weeks, a niece whom he raised, Stephanie Adams (Brian), step-sons, Tommy Butler (Nancy) and Packy Butler (Robin), grandchildren, Garrett Weeks, Will Weeks, Brody Weeks, Jackson Martin, Macy Smith (Austin), Mindy Hallmark (Zac), Sydney and Molly Rose Butler and a host of other relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Banks Weeks and Gerlene May Weeks, a daughter, Kimberly Renee Weeks and a granddaughter, Abby Renee Weeks.

A private family service will be held due to the Covid Pandemic. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude Research Hospital in memory of Larry. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Weeks family.

Mrs. Virginia “Ann” Green Gunter, age 76 of Carbon Hill, passed away on Monday December 7, 2020 in the Walker Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Gunter was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cefos Lee Green and Mamie Louise Markem Green, a son, C.J. Sprowes, a sister, Sherry Sandlin and two husbands, Tee J. Sprowes and Talmadge “Tag” Gunter. Mrs. Gunter is survived by her children, Teanna (Terrell) Guthrie of Eldridge, Addie Sprowes Brooks of Carbon Hill, David Sprowes (Lori) of Eldridge, Chris Sprowes of North Carolina, and Kevin Sprowes of Carbon Hill, grandchildren, Tiffany Guthrie, Tabitha Guthrie, Kayla Wilhite, Joey Sprowes, Hope Brooks, Gracie Gunter, McKenzie Gunter, Raylyn Gunter, Camden Sprowes, Kenneth Sprowes, Lexus Sprowes, and Emalie Sprowes, sisters, Eva Jean Gazoway (Wayman) of Dalton, GA, and Debra Banta of Winfield, a brother, Leroy Green of Winfield and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00m p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Philadelphia Church cemetery near Lynn. Mrs. Billie June Norris, age 82 of Winfield, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. Mrs. Norris attended Philadelphia Deliverance Tabernacle Church in Lynn, AL.

Mrs. Norris is survived by her son, Obie Norris (Gail) of Winfield, her grandchildren, Dana Autry (Richard), Ginger McGough (Tony) and Crystal Aldridge (Adam) all of Winfield, six great grandchildren, Kolton and Karli Autry, Trace and Chance McGough, Adan and Alex Aldridge, her sister, Betty Fuqua of TX and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tommy Luther Norris and Eldridge Norris, an infant daughter, Mary Dean Norris, her parents, Sam Lambert and Lector Jones Lambert and 4 brothers, Robert, Leon, Dewayne and Kenneth Lambert.

Funeral services for Mrs. Norris will be held on Wednesday, December, 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Musgrove Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Homer Dewey Willoughby, III, age 72 of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.

Homer was born on October 2, 1948 in Birmingham, AL to Homer D. Willoughby, II and Margie Kuykendall Willoughby. He was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church, a 1967 graduate of Jones Valley High School in Birmingham and obtained his business degree from Jacksonville State University. Mr. Willoughby and his business partners were owner/operators of Peregrine Corporation for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Melba Meharg Willoughby, two sons, Curtis Willoughby and Scott Willoughby both of Winfield, a granddaughter, Kenley Willoughby of Hackleburg, and two nephews, Richard Noel (Thanh) of Atlanta and Donny Noel (Tracy) of Brilliant and a host of other relatives and friends. Homer was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Vickie Motley.

Funeral services for Mr. Willoughby will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery.
