Mrs. Dortha Dean (Dot) Mattox, age 89, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Winfield, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in Daphne, Alabama.

Mrs. Mattox was raised in Winfield, Alabama and attended the University of North Alabama, formerly Florence State Teachers College. She and her husband moved to Pensacola in 1957, where she raised her family and taught school at Bellview Middle School and Pine Forest High School. She was an award-winning artist and member of Quayside Art Gallery in Pensacola.

Mrs. Mattox was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Mattox, Jr., her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady W. Dillard, and her brother, James Grady Dillard. She is survived by her children, Dr. Mitzi Mattox Childs (Rick) of Fairhope, Rebecca Mattox Allbrook (Guy) of Birmingham, and Emily Mattox McGiboney (John) of Pensacola, grandchildren Lane McGiboney (Robbie), Sarah Childs, Daniel Childs (Alexis), Jacob Gwarjanski, and Jordan Gwarjanski, great grandchildren, Ellen and Mason McGiboney and Camille Chandler, siblings Faye Garrison, William Dillard, and Angelyn McGaha.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattox will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. The visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association 225 N. Mark Allen Mayfield, age 59 of Winfield passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in the DCH Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Mark was born on June 12, 1961 to George and Augusta Mayfield. Mark was a 1979 graduate of Hubberville High School and served in the United States National Guard.

Mark is survived by his children, Amanda Beard (Bobby) and Jason Mayfield (Jodi), grandchildren, Chelsea, Brodie and Brady Porter, Garrett, Jordan and Jaydon Mayfield, Austin, Logan and Sydney Sullivan and Madison Hubbert (Lance), great grandchildren, Zach, Anna and Aubree Hubbert, and his sister, Gail Gray (William) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Mayfield and Augusta Tidwell Mayfield, grandsons, Allen and Mason Mayfield, and brothers, Donny Mayfield and Johnny Jones.

Funeral services for Mark will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, a private family burial will be held on Thursday in the Mayfield Family Cemetery. The visitation for Mark will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Margie Ray Orsborn, age 95 of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 in the Diversicare of Winfield facility. Margie was born in Fayette County on April 23, 1925 to Joseph and Allie Bell Lee. She was a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Margie worked various jobs during her adult life; Sherman’s Department Store, Mungsingwear, and B & B Quick Stop to name a few, but her love was being a wife, mother and a grandmother to her family.

Mrs. Orsborn is survived by her daughters, Jean Causey (Ronald), Judy Roberts and Donna Hulsey, grandchildren, Shawn Smothers (Angela), Derek Roberts (Jill), Jada Tobin (Tommy), Jason Hulsey, Dustin Hulsey (Nichole), Tiffani Starnes (Scott) and Ronnie Causey, fourteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and one great great grandson on the way, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Orsborn, parents, Joseph Newton Lee and Allie Bell Erwin Lee, and her sisters, Lorene Webster and Rubye Aldridge.

Funeral services for Margie will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Harmony Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Grady Evans, age 80 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 in the Diversicare of Winfield facility.

Grady was born on February 21, 1940 to Jessie and Mary Evans. Mr. Evans was employed with the Winfield City School system for many years.

He is survived by his children, Phillip Evans (Suzy) of Hubbertville, Stanley Evans (Dawn Pope) of IL and April Armstrong of Dora, grandchildren, Jessie, Tyler, Megan, Santana, Logan and ten great grandchildren, his sisters, Edith Sandlin of Winfield and Lori Manasco of IL and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Grady was preceded in death by his wife, Molly Jane Evans, his parents, Jessie Evans and Mary Dickinson Evans, sisters, Ruby Shadle and Pearl Stanford and his brothers, J. E. Evans and Lecil Evans.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the White Springs Cemetery.
