Mrs. Bertha Jones, age 98 of Guin, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Diversicare of Winfield facility. Bertha was a member of the Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Winfield.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her children, Ray Jones of Winfield, Harold Jones of Guin and Gary Jones (Alice) of Guin, grandchildren, Wayne Jones of Winfield, Brenda Ward (Cecil) of Jasper, Brian Lewellen (Ruth) of Clanton, great grandchildren, Josie Porter (Jeremy) of Winfield, Wayne and Matt Lewellen, Anna Allred and Amber Beasley, six great great grandchildren and one more on the way, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Andrew Jones, two brothers and three sisters.

A graveside service for Mrs. Jones will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Zion Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. The visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Jones family.

Mrs. Gail Higgins Terry, age 84 of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Winfield, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. A native of Lincoln County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Adams Higgins. Mrs. Terry was a member of the East Winfield Church of Christ and a retired LPN.

Mrs. Terry was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Terry, a daughter, Vickie Lynn Terry, brother, Frank Higgins, Jr., and two sons-in-law, George W. Crawford, III and Kevin James.

Mrs. Terry is survived by her son, Charles David Terry and his wife Lisa; daughters, Sue Crawford and Lee Ann James all of Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mrs. Terry will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. (service time) at the funeral home with burial to follow in the West Alabama Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Taylor McCluskey, age 68, of Winfield passed away, Thursday, December 10, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. McCluskey is survived by her husband of 34 years, Gary McCluskey, her children, Kathy Ann Harris Childers, Gary Clayton McCluskey (Diane), Susie Frederick (Jeff), Shannon McCluskey (Tina), Chris Davis (Leah), Daniel Mayfield (Charlene), grandchildren, Tyler Childers, Kara Goodwin, Aaron McCluskey, Ethan McCluskey, Megan Mathhues (Tyler), Haley Smith, Joshua Frederick, Jessica Enriquez, Jacob Davis, Jaycee Davis, Collin Mayfield, Conrad Mayfield and Catherine Mayfield, great grandchildren, Madison Havard, Mason Atkinson, Caden, Ryder and Saylor Mae Mathhues, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. Taylor and Opel Beasley Taylor and a sister, Patricia Kay Kelley.

Mrs. Janette Sanderson Roberts, age 79 of Guin, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in the North Mississippi Medical center in Tupelo.

Janette was a 1958 graduate of Marion County High School, an avid Alabama fan and owner/operator of The Railroad Antique Wearhouse.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her children, Mickie Robinson, Jamie Smith (Janna) and Jennifer McBride (Doug), grandchildren, Lauren Meekins (Dave), Rhett Smith, Emily Brown (Jake), Austin Smith (Macey), Sarah Smith and Conner Smith, great grandchildren, Grayson Smith and Lochlan Meekins, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Roberts, parents, Buster Sanderson and Maxine McKay Sanderson and her brother, Al Sanderson.

A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from the Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Guin. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Philadelphia United Methodist Church. Bowen Funeral Home serving the Roberts family.
